Opening with Schäfer.
Bodenseetherme Konstanz.
The newly rebuilt Bodensee spa at Konstanz was opened after a construction period of only two years. The renowned architectural practice, 4a Architekten in Stutttgart, had planned the 30 million Euro construction and supervised the works.
The basic idea of the scheme is the opening of the baths to the Bodensee, and working with the special visual perspectives on the site. The two wings of the building enclose the new bathing complex which opens onto the lake. The interior area, dominated by the view over the Bodensee, offers a unique bathing experience. Schäfer Trennwandsysteme fitted out the entire changing room areas with the glass product line: changing cubicles VITRUM II as well as the sanitary facilities with the sanitary cubicles VITRUM II. This accomodated the exacting structural requirements and the demanding overall design in an exemplary fashion.
