MS Roald Amundsen.
The hybrid cruise ship is named after Roald Amundsen, a Norwegian seafarer and polar researcher. As the first cruise ship worldwide, the MS Roald Amundsen is equipped with hybrid propulsion and thus sets new standards for environmentally friendly and sustainable cruise ship tourism. It is therefore part of the new Hurtigruten philosophy of switching to environmentally friendly propulsion technology. The luxurious, modern interior of the expedition ship in Scandinavian style offers guests an atmosphere of well-being. This was also the requirement when designing the sanitary facilities on the ship. Schäfer's EF-3 JUMP Marine WC partition met exactly this requirement, because on the one hand, it fulfils the high requirements through its marine certification, and on the other hand, its design fits in perfectly with the furnishings. On the MS Roald Amundsen, the EF-3 JUMP sanitary partition was installed using a special construction at the architect's request. A two-metre-long door handle in the form of a tree trunk finalises the WC partition system.
